And the 2018 NASSP National Assistant Principal of the Year Is …
Erica Page from Pelion High School in South Carolina!
“Communication builds trust,” said best-selling author and inspirational speaker Jon Gordon. These words inform the leadership of Erica Page, NASSP’s 2018 National Assistant Principal of the Year.
With this idea in mind, Erica has led efforts in her school to boost promotion rates; test scores; and college and career readiness through dual enrollment coursework, AP classes, and an increase in honors offerings. Among her many accomplishments, this year one third of her school’s seniors will graduate with college credit and several will enter college as sophomores. “Every administrative decision I make comes from believing in students and putting them first,” Erica stated.
From over 50 State Assistant Principals of the Year, three finalists were named, with one chosen as the NASSP National Assistant Principal of the Year. We congratulate Erica on this amazing achievement and look forward to seeing what more she does to contribute to her students’ success!
